I will stamp all over 'serious combatant' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight round match which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the two fighters came face-to-face to build hype for the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Ex two time unified title holder Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth disparity - at Miami arena on 19 December.

Fighter's Mentality

"I will break his face and damage his physique. I'm here to prove I'm superior," Joshua, 35, stated.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I will seriously aim to hurt him. That's my goal."

Civil Interaction

In spite of such comments, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically recognized for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.

Paul instead criticized former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and called him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian turned down a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, targeted British opponent Fury - and refused a large bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua said.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Fighter

Despite stating he plans to damage his opponent, Joshua declined to speak negatively about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he said.

Paul's Background

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or faded names since turning professional.

He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in last year.

Commercial Attraction

However, the novice is still one of the sport's biggest financial successes, regularly earning huge financial rewards.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28-year-old forecast a stoppage in rounds four or five and stated he would derail the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently under discussion for two years from now.

"It will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.

Size Disparity

As Joshua and Paul met for the customary face-off, with their size difference evident, it highlighted just how surprising this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the fight is really happening.
